Contact Us
Welcome to the official contact page and communication hub for Jefrev.com.
Whether you have a burning question about a yellowing philodendron leaf, need support with a purchased digital guide, or just want to talk about the endless joy and frustration of indoor plant care, I am always happy to hear from fellow enthusiasts.
When I first started this website, I figured I might get one or two emails a month. Today, I wake up, pour my morning coffee, and open my inbox to dozens of messages from plant lovers all over the world. Some of you are sharing massive wins, like finally getting a new leaf on a stubborn cutting. Others are sending me panicked, late-night photos of drooping stems and mysterious brown spots.
I love all of it. I love the community we have built here.
However, unlike massive corporate media outlets or faceless content hubs with dedicated customer service teams, Jefrev.com is run entirely by me. I manage the writing, the photography, the web hosting, the social media, and the inbox completely solo from my home in Woolwich Township, New Jersey. And I do all of this while actively maintaining a personal collection of over 500 indoor plants.
Because of this volume, I have put together this detailed contact page. I do my absolute best to respond to every single genuine message from my readers, but to help me help you faster, please read through the guidelines and FAQs below before hitting send.
1. How to Ask for a Plant Diagnosis (The “Plant ER” Checklist)
The number one reason people use my contact form is to ask for help with a sick plant. I absolutely love helping you troubleshoot these issues. It is like a botanical puzzle.
However, the most common email I get is a blurry photo of a single leaf with the subject line: “Why is my plant dying?”
As much as I wish I had magical psychic plant abilities, I cannot diagnose a problem with that little information. Plant care is completely dependent on your specific environment. A yellow leaf can mean you are watering it too much, but it can also mean you are watering it too little. It can mean it has root rot, or it can mean it has a nitrogen deficiency.
If you are writing to me about a struggling philodendron, please treat your message like a visit to the doctor. Give me the full medical history. Use the secure contact form below and include the following details:
- Light Exposure: Exactly where does the plant live? Do not just say “near a window.” Tell me which direction the window faces (North, South, East, West). Is there a sheer curtain? Is it sitting directly on the sill, or is it five feet away in a dark corner? Are you using artificial LED grow lights?
- Watering Habits: How often do you water it? More importantly, how do you decide it is time to water? Do you use a moisture meter, do you stick your finger in the dirt, or do you just water it every Sunday on a strict schedule? (Hint: strict schedules usually lead to trouble).
- The Pot and Drainage: Does the pot have a hole in the bottom? This is critical. If it is sitting in a decorative cachepot with no drainage, the roots might be suffocating in a puddle of old water.
- The Soil Mix: Is it still in the heavy, dense soil it came in from the grocery store? Or have you repotted it into a chunky, airy aroid mix using bark and perlite?
- Recent Changes: Did you recently move to a new apartment? Did the seasons just change, and now your central heating is blasting hot, dry air directly onto the leaves? Have you recently repotted it, or sprayed it with a chemical pest treatment?
- Clear Photos: If you are emailing me directly at the address below, attach clear, well-lit photos. Show me the specific damaged leaf, but also show me a pulled-back shot of the entire plant so I can see its overall posture and environment.
The more context you give me, the faster and more accurate my advice will be, saving us both days of back-and-forth emails.
2. Frequently Asked Questions (Read Before Messaging)
To save us both a little time, I have compiled a list of the most frequent questions that land in my inbox. Your answer might already be right here!
“Can I buy a plant cutting directly from you?”
Right now, the answer is no. While I occasionally trade cuttings locally here in New Jersey, I do not currently operate Jefrev.com as a commercial nursery. Packing, insulating, and shipping live plants through the mail is incredibly stressful and requires a massive amount of logistical work. I prefer to keep my focus on education and writing rather than running a mail-order shipping operation.
“Will you diagnose my sick succulent, orchid, or bonsai?”
I will certainly try, but my specialty is strictly tropical aroids—specifically philodendrons. I have spent eight years studying their specific root behaviors, lighting needs, and growth patterns. While basic plant principles apply across the board, orchids and succulents are entirely different beasts. You will get much better advice from a dedicated succulent grower than you will from me.
“What kind of camera do you use for your blog photos?”
People are often surprised by this, but 90% of the photos on this website were taken with my standard iPhone. I don’t use a massive DSLR setup or a professional lighting studio. The trick to good plant photography is simply turning off the harsh overhead room lights and using natural, diffused light from a nearby window.
“Can we do a guest post exchange or link collaboration?”
Please see the Business and Advertising section below. The short answer is usually no. I am incredibly protective of the content on this website.
3. Digital Product Order Support (Priority Queue)
While general plant questions can take me a couple of days to get to, customer support is my absolute top priority. If you spent your hard-earned money to purchase one of my premium digital video courses or printable care manuals, you skip the general inbox line.
Technology is great, but it occasionally glitches. Sometimes a download link gets aggressively filtered into your spam folder. Sometimes a PDF file fails to open on an older tablet. If you are experiencing any friction accessing a product you purchased, please email me directly at contact@jefrev.com and use the subject line “URGENT: Order Support.”
To help me locate your transaction instantly, please include:
- Your full name used at checkout.
- The email address you used to make the purchase.
- Your official order number (if you have it).
I monitor the support inbox closely and strive to resolve all paid product access issues within 12 hours or less, including weekends. If you are unsatisfied with a digital product, please refer to the refund terms listed on your original checkout receipt, and we will get it sorted out peacefully and professionally.
4. Business, PR, and Brand Partnerships
Jefrev.com reaches thousands of highly engaged, passionate indoor plant hobbyists every single month. Because of this targeted audience, I receive daily pitches from PR agencies, fertilizer brands, and gardening tool manufacturers looking for exposure.
I am open to brand partnerships, but I am extremely selective. My readers trust me because I tell the truth. If I promote a product on this blog, it is because I actually use it in my own living room and believe it provides genuine value.
If you are a brand reaching out for a partnership, please adhere to these strict guidelines:
- Relevance is Mandatory: I run a blog about indoor houseplants. Please do not email me asking to promote lawnmowers, outdoor patio furniture, or random lifestyle apps. If the product does not directly benefit an indoor tropical plant grower, I am not interested.
- Testing Periods: I do not do “pay-for-play” guaranteed positive reviews. If you send me a new grow light, soil additive, or pest control spray, I require a minimum of 30 to 60 days to test it on my own plants before I will even consider writing about it or featuring it on my social channels.
- No Shady SEO Link Schemes: I absolutely do not accept unsolicited “guest posts” written by third-party marketing agencies looking for do-follow backlinks. I write every single word on Jefrev.com myself to ensure a consistent voice and accurate information. Emails asking to “insert a link into an existing article for a fee” are immediately deleted and marked as spam.
If you represent a high-quality brand that aligns with my values and you respect the guidelines above, I would love to hear from you. Please email your pitch to contact@jefrev.com with the subject line “Brand Partnership Inquiry.”
5. Direct Contact Information & Mailing Address
If you prefer not to use the forms above, or if you need to reach me for legal, administrative, or AdSense verification purposes, you can use my direct contact details.
Please note that sending physical mail takes much longer to process than a simple email. If you are a brand sending a product sample, please email me tracking information so I know to look out for it.

6. Join the Weekly Philodendron Community
If you just want to stay in the loop and learn passively, you don’t actually need to email me at all! The best way to stay connected with Jefrev.com is by joining my free weekly newsletter.
I send out a brief, punchy email once a week. I share the exact soil recipes I am experimenting with, updates on my pest control battles, and honest lessons learned from caring for my massive collection. It is a quiet, supportive corner of the internet for people who love plants.
I strictly respect your inbox. I will never sell your email address to a data broker or flood you with spam. You can unsubscribe at any time with a single click.
7. A Quick Note on Expected Response Times
Because I am managing the care of 500 plants alongside maintaining the technical health of this website, my inbox time is limited. I typically sit down to answer emails on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Please allow 24 to 48 hours for a response to general inquiries. If you message me on a Friday afternoon regarding a yellowing leaf, I likely will not see it until Monday morning. Please don’t panic! Plants move very slowly. A delay of two days will rarely mean the difference between life and death for your philodendron.
While you are waiting for a reply, your question might already be answered in one of my core legal or educational pages. Feel free to browse through these resources:
- Learn more about my personal journey from killing my first plant to owning 500 on the About Page.
- Read how I handle reader data and site security on the Privacy Policy.
- Check out California privacy rights on the CCPA Notice.
- Understand site expectations and liability on the Disclaimer Page.
Thank you for visiting Jefrev.com, and thank you for taking the time to reach out. Connecting with people who share this slightly crazy, dirt-filled passion is the best part of running this website. I look forward to reading your message and helping you grow a vibrant, healthy indoor jungle!
